Education:

Research and selected papers:
Kneller's areas of specialization are Kant, the History of Late Modern and Early Romantic philosophy, aesthetics, and feminist aesthetic theory. She has published in all these areas, and is currently working on applying a Kantian account of reflective aesthetic judgment to socio-cultural judgments, as well as a book on the contemporary relevance of early German romantic philosophy. She is the author of Kant and the Power of Imagination (Cambridge University Press, 2007) and the editor and translator of Novalis: Fichte Studies (Cambridge University Press 2000). She also co-edited Autonomy and Community: Readings in Contemporary Kantian Social Philosophy with Sidney Axinn (SUNY Press 1998). She is a member of the Society for Women in Philosophy, the American Society for Aesthetics, and the American Philosophical Association, is past Vice President of the North American Kant Society and current member of the advisory board for NAKS, and on the editorial board of the Kantian Review. She is also a past member of the American Philosophical Association Committee on the Status of Women and serves on the Women's Studies Executive Board at Colorado State University.
