Research and selected papers:
Hamid's areas of specialization are Islamic Philosophy, Cosmology, Metaphysics, and Mysticism. He is the editor-in-chief of International Journal of Shi`i Studies. He is the author of Islam Dynamic: the Cosmology and Spirituality of Walayah. His articles include the book chapter The Cosmological Journey of Neo: an Islamic Matrix, in More Matrix and Philosophy(Open Court Press); his research also includes software development for academic Arabic typesetting.
