Lee is one of our scholars of East Asian philosophy and Asian Studies. He is fluent in Korean, Japanese and Chinese and teaches numerous courses in East Asian philosophy. His recent book is Life and Thought of Yi Kwang-su (1984). He led the CSU Study Abroad Program students to China and taught at Semester at Sea. Kendo, calligraphy, walking-hiking, eating gourmet food, meeting with saintly people, listening to the Oriental court music, and gardening are his hobbies.
