

Audience: This seminar is intended for I/M state personnel; Train-the-Trainer; in-service technicians, and centralized contractor personnel.

This course is designed to assist the non-scientific person in understanding traditional gasoline, reformulated fuels (RFG) and oxygenated-blended fuels. It provides the participant with a good understanding of fuels terminology, basic gasoline chemistry, impact on driveability on different technology vehicles, material compatability, R.V.P. effects, evaporative losses and impact on tailpipe emissions. NOTE: This course does not explore other alternative fuels such as CNG/LNG, LPG, hydrogen blends, electric, fuel cells etc.
