Current Research interests:

My current project investigates turn-of-the-century travel narratives, Asian images in twentieth century American popular culture, and the connection between these sources and the American educational endeavor with regard to K-16 history/geography curriculum and course materials. My current research related to the Scholarship on Teaching and Learning builds upon a Teaching American History grant and the on-going investigations of K-16 educators as we consider the application of historical literacy and higher level concepts to history instruction at K-16 levels.
