In case we missed you at the last meeting, here are the minutes, provided by
our Secretary Natalie
Maher:
At our meeting on this wednesday, November 5th we discussed several ideas and
also voted on t-shirt
designs.
- We are looking to launch our Hartshorn survey this next monday to a
randomly selected 400
students at Colorado State University. As a reward, participants will be
entered in a drawing to win one
of 20 iTunes worth $10 dollars each.
- Thanks to those who helped with the Cold Care packs; they were a success
and we'll be doing them
again in spring.
- There was a launching of something new called Pat's Pleasure Parlor, which
allows students to
choose five items ranging anywhere from lube to condoms for their safer sex
purposes. This cart hopes
to raise more awareness with this growing issue. We're interested in finding
volunteers for this cart for
this spring; if this sounds like something you want to do please contact our
advisor, Debra (Deb)
Morris, at dmorris@lamar.colostate.edu
- Also, ASCSU wants to team up with us! Marissa, the marketing director for
ASCSU wants to launch a
campus campaign focusing on HPV, and statistics following it. She is looking
to compile a committee,
along wtih planned parenthood, to get this in motion. The events are to be
announced (and decided),
but will occur probably around spring break. If this is also something you
were interested in doing,
contact Deb (above) or Mariah (csushac@yahoo.com).
- Next Wednesday (Nov. 12th) there will be a discussion forum with Michael
Felix, an independent
health consultant. He is providing us free dinner and wants our opinion on the
Hartshorn Health Service
and the University Counseling Center. It will be held in Red Room of HHS at
5:00 PM. Please join us and
let your opinion be heard.
