Mohammed Hirchi

Professor Hirchi teaches Arabic language, literature and cultures. He has also taught World Literature and numerous French courses including Translation and Business French . He is involved with CSU's Middle East/North Africa Option (International Studies Concentration, Liberal Arts major)

Dr. Hirchi is interested in the teaching and learning of Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTL) and has participated in several workshops related to teaching. His research focuses on the literatures and cultures of North Africa, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean and France . He has published articles in these areas and he is currently working on a book project on Contemporary Moroccan Arabophone women writers.
