Hosam Ahmad

Instructor, Arabic

 

Hosam Ahmad is an instructor for LARA 105 class. He earned a Master Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University . He is Assistant Director of Apartment Life at Colorado State University managing the University Village and the Intercultural Connection Community (ICC). Hosam has a broad knowledge and experience of the Arabic Language and cultures. He was born, raised, and educated in Iraq . He lived, studied, and worked in Colorado State University and chaired the Organization of Arab Students at CSU while he was a student. Hosam is a mentor to many International students especially Arabic speaking ones. He developed a special training session for employees at CSU to help understand the recent flux of students from Saudi Arabia and the Middle East . He taught, advised, and supervised students for over 10 years. He was involved in translation of college level text books. He is very passionate about teaching and interacting with students. He is a strong advocate of the Arabic language and literature.
