Objectives:

   l. Gain an understanding of pesticides used in agriculture.

   2. Gain an understanding of the many types of pesticides, their
general structures, modes of action, toxicities, and hazards.

   3. Gain an understanding of pest resistance to pesticides,
current controversies and future prospects.

Description: Lectures cover the principles of use and examples of
the various classes which include insecticides, acaricides,
avicides, rodenticides, herbicides, piscicides, and fungicides

Activities: Lectures, video clips, laboratory visits.
