Objectives of the Colorado Biocontrol
Committee:
1. The regular distribution of information to
the different organizations involved in biocontrol activities in Colorado.
2. The planning of releases so as not to overlap
sites used by other agencies.
3. Improved coordination of activities among the
different agencies so as not to destroy others' work, and/or to improve
the rewards of the release sites.
4. The ability to provide APHIS with knowledge
of sensitive areas in case of large outbreaks of grasshoppers where a spray
program may be necessary.
5. An improvement in the flow of information to
the County Cooperative Extension Agents, creating a reliable source of information
on biocontrol activities within their areas.
