1996 KB Survey
MapSamples were obtained from commercial elevators and processed at Colorado State University. Analysis of samples is coordinated by Dr. Linnea Skoglund. Samples are received and processed for analysis by Elisa Bernklau (CAPS ADP). In 1996, samples were received from 37 counties in Colorado. The southeastern region of the state suffered severe crop losses due to drought conditions and no grain was available from these counties. In addition, 298 samples of certified seed were processed at the facility. A total of 525 samples were tested and no Karnal bunt spores were found.

MapThe survey was conducted again in 1997. Samples (5 lb.) were collected from 67 elevators in 40 counties in Colorado.
