Taking Courses in Summer School

The Summer Session offers the opportunity to take additional courses during the summer months. In general, one three - credit course in the four-week session is roughly the same work load as taking twelve credits during the regular term.

If you plan to complete your degree at the end of summer school your senior year, be certain that the courses you need for graduation will be offered during the summer. Plan ahead, so that your graduation isn't delayed. Since course schedules are subject to change, you should also make certain that courses that are listed in the General Catalog or in the Summer Session Catalog will actually be offered that summer. For instance, a course may be listed as being taught in the summer session (SS), but may not be planned for a particular summer. Ideally, you should consult with your advisor.

If you plan to earn summer school credits at another institution, please read "Study Abroad/Transferring Credits from Other Institutions While at CSU."

For information about course offerings and registration procedures for the upcoming semester or summer session, please view the Rambler, the Department's student newsletter.
