Becoming an English Major
You can obtain information about becoming an English major by visiting the main English office in Eddy Hall room 359 (third floor, northeast corner), by calling 970-491-6428, or by sending email to Sheila Dargon, the Undergraduate Programs Administrative Assistant, at Sheila.Dargon@colostate.edu. When you visit the office, you'll be provided with a course guide for English majors, the Department Handbook for English Majors, and a copy of the Department Newsletter, the Rambler. You'll also be assigned an advisor (or you can request that a particular faculty member be your advisor) and given his or her office phone number, email address, and office hours.
To officially declare a major, you must obtain and complete a Change of Major form from the Office of Records and Registration. All changes of major are processed through this office.
