Undergraduate Study
Graduation
- Two semesters before graduation, you must file an "Intent
to Graduate Form." This form, available from the Registrar's
office, initiates a "senior check" that tells
you what University requirements you must fulfill before
graduation.
- At the beginning of the semester you plan to graduate,
you must sign your graduation contract. This form
will be at the English Office (359 Eddy).
- As part of the requirements for graduation in the English
Department, every student must participate in the outcome
assessment program. When you come to the English Department
to sign your graduation contract, you must submit a "Senior
Portfolio", which should contain three papers written
in upper-division English or Composition courses. These
papers must be originals or photocopies of originals,
with the professor's grade and comments. You can access
the portfolio requirements by using
this link or
asking for it in the English Department office or your
advisor has a handout on the Outcome Assessment Program.
- Another requirement for graduation is the "Senior
Survey". Prior to submitting your Senior Portfolio
in your graduating semester, you must also complete the
online Senior Survey in the computer lab (300 Eddy).
