E515 Syntax for ESL/EFL
The objectives for this course include providing the knowledge of English syntactic structures relevant to ESL/EFL teaching; examining core English structures from various perspectives: semantic, pragmatic, discourse, psycholinguistic, second language acquisition; providing a basis for more advance study of linguistic analysis and linguistic theory; and exploring topics related to the actual teaching of language in ESL/EFL, e.g., error analysis, computers in language learning, textbooks, and materials.
