This is a course in the teaching and evaluation of writing in secondary schools. The course aims to help students articulate a theory of writing instruction; design writing assignments for multiple contexts; develop and use rubrics and guidelines for response and evaluation of writing; and examine effective writing pedagogy in both traditional and computer-based classrooms.
