Jean Wyrick Emeritus
Professor. B.A., M.A., Ph.D., English, University of Texas
at Austin.
Professor Wyrick taught courses in American
literature. During 1980-1991, she directed the CSU Composition
Program and trained graduate teaching assistants in the
teaching of writing. She has written three university textbooks
on writing, which continue to be published in new editions.
She has presented over two dozen papers on the teaching
of writing and on American literature. Her research and
teaching are now focused on late-nineteenth-and twentieth-century
American fiction, American Studies, and Women's Studies.
