The undergraduate curriculum familiarizes and prepares students in the areas of exercise science, sport science, and the teaching of physical education. Students graduating with a major in exercise and sport science are awarded the bachelor of science degree. The Exercise and Sport Science major has three concentrations:
The Sports Medicine concentration is a pre-professional program that provides a strong foundation for various professional health- related graduate programs (e.g. physical therapy, exercise physiology). This concentration also provides an internship required for athletic training certification.

The Teacher Education concentration certifies graduates to teach physical education at both the elementary and secondary levels. The program provides students "hands-on" experience working with school-age children in various public school settings. Students can also complete preparation for coaching.
