a Tree of Heaven Ailanthus altissima
gives it the appearance of a Baobab tree

Note where the trunk is indented on the right side of the photo. This is most likely due to an encircling root.


The indented side is now facing you.

This unusual growth habit is possibly due to internal rot and encircling/girdling roots. Encircling roots are often a result of improper planting depth. Check out the information of planting depth.
