Focus the Nation on Climate Change:  
Colorado State University

Bring your colleagues, family, and friends to CSU's contribution to the national teach-in on what we need to know to tackle the problem of climate change.

These two days will feature talks (in the Lory Student Center) by some 35-45 professors, researchers, policy makers, politicians, business-people, and concerned, involved citizens . . . on a wide array of topics related to the causes and effects of climate change - and, crucially, some actions we can, and need to, take now.

We will also screen a national webcast, host a forum for local and regional elected officials, and offer some hands-on activities and discussion circles.

The event is sponsored by CSU's Focus The Nation committee.

NEW WESTERN COLORADO INSECTS WEBSITE!

Providing locally needed, researched-based information and education is the heart of Extension.  With so much accurate and timely information needed by individual citizens and organizations to make good decisions, leveraging good, pertinent sources is critical. 

Bob Hammon, entomologist in the Tri River Area, as just launched an excellent new resource for information regarding insects in western Colorado .  Check out http://wci.colostate.edu (western Colorado insects).  Consider linking to the site from your county if it makes sense for your area.  It's all about the information!
