4-H Market Swine

Have you ever wondered what it takes for a market swine to become a blue ribbon animal? The 4-H swine project is an excellent way to learn about an important industry in Colorado and the rest of the nation. Through this project, you can learn about all aspects of the swine industry, either by caring for a pig or building your own herd.

Swine must be tagged by May 12th

By March 31, six boxes of swine tagging supplies will be available to check out from the Extension Office. All pigs must be identified by May 12 in order to show at County Fair. We encourage club leaders to pick up the supplies and help members tag their pigs. Please do not have the pigs brought to a central location to be tagged, as this is biosecurity issue.
