Stamp Nutrition Education Program
These free nutrition education classes help limited resource Larimer County
residents stretch their food dollar while learning to eat more nutritiously.
Through a series of classes with hands-on activities, participants learn to
get the most nutritional value for their food dollars.
Currently
Available Curricula:
* Cent$ible Nutrition: Focuses on General Nutrition and Diet Quality to prevent
disease, Food Resource Management, and Food Safety.
* Money for Food: Focuses on Food Resource Management, Food Security and some General Nutrition and Diet Quality to prevent disease.
* Nutrition for the Young at Heart: Curriculum designed especially for low-income Senior Citizens. Focuses on General Nutrition and Diet Quality to prevent disease, Food Resource Management, and Food Safety.
*
Sisters in Health (English or Spanish): Focuses on General Nutrition and Diet
Quality to prevent disease; primarily through group Cooking and Nutrition
Lessons.
* La Cocina Saludable (Spanish or English): Focuses on General Nutrition and Diet Quality to prevent disease, Food Resource Management, and Food Safety. Excellent for Spanish Speaking and/or Low-Literacy Audiences.
Educational
opportunities may be offered in a variety of ways to those with limited resources:
* Single event presentation, 1-2 hours on the nutrition, cooking or budgeting
topic of your choice:

Series of classes using any of the above listed curricula. Classes may be presented in a series of either 6 two-hour lessons or 4 two-hour lessons. We offer classes any time of the day, any day of the week; in our facility or your facility.
Nutrition News: Information for Senior Citizens a newsletter created and updated by Colorado State University nutrition and food safety specialists for senior citizens living on a fixed income.
