Table Cloth for transport for leaves
An old plastic or vinyl tablecloth can be used as a tarp for collecting leaves.
Lay the cloth on the ground and use a broom or rake to whisk the leaves into
a pile. When the pile is large enough, gather the ends together and drag the
bundle to the compost pile
Rocking Labels
A creative way to use rocks in the landscape is to use them as plant labels.
Clean the rocks with dish soap and water and let them dry overnight. After they
are dry, write the name of the plant on the rock use a paint marker containing
xylene (these can be purchased at craft stores). These “rock”-ing
labels can last for years.
