Public Speaking Contest

It's Time to Raise Your Voice!

What: This contest helps 4-H members develop their public speaking skills. The individual will prepare a 4 - 6 minute presentation covering any subject relating to 4-H. No visual aids are to be used.

Impromptu speeches may also be given on personal issues or values, youth issues, 4-H promotion and persuasion, leadership, or current events. Junior speeches need to be 2 - 3 minutes, and senior speeches should be 3 - 5 minutes.

When: Spring

Where: Larimer County Fsairgrounds, Loveland, CO

Awards: Ribbons are presented to all participants based on their placings. The Senior winners represent Larimer County in the State Contest held on the Colorado State University campus in June.
