Horse Demonstration and Public Speaking

Let's talk about Horses!

What: 4-H members can demonstrate their horse knowledge by creating a horse related demonstration or prepared speech. The speech must be 4-6 minutes long, with no visual aids.

Who: 4-H members will be split into their designated age group, Junior (8-10), Intermediate (11-13), and Senior (14-19). Demonstrations can be done as a team (two people) or individually.

When: The county level contest is held in the spring with the Champions and Reserve Champions getting the opportunity to participate at the State 4-H Conference in June.

Awards: Ribbons are presented to all participants based on their placings. The Senior winners represent Larimer County in the State Contest held on the Colorado State University campus in June.
