Use the following steps to estimate wheat yields:
1. Count
all tillers and main stalks (potential heads) in 12 inches in two adjacent
rows. 2. Measure row spacing. 3. Estimate yield from Table 1 based on
tiller count and row spacing.
Table 1. Estimated wheat yields as
determined by tiller number counted in a 1-foot section from two adjacent
rows.
