Colorado State University Extension Western
Center for Risk Management Education is sponsoring a program Enhancing
and Understanding of Water Management on March 1, 2007 from 9:00 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m. in Burlington at Spices on the Green. Lunch is included with
registration fee.
Program Highlights: * Tax consequences on
the Colorado Basin of lost property value due to shift of land from irrigated
to non-irrigated use. * Demonstration of decision tool to
comparealternatives for limited irrigation cropping. * Impacts and
implementation costs of alternative irrigation technologies. * The financial
impacts of selling water rights versus continuing in irrigated agricultural
production. * Local research and techniques for managing reduced irrigation
water supplies.
Registration is $40.00 per person. Make checks
payable to Extension Activity Fund and send to Golden Plains Area Extension
251-16th St., Ste. 101 Burlington, CO 80807.
Pre-registration is necessary to hold a spot. Registration at the door
will be $60.
A minimum of twenty paid registrations must be received by
February 16th in order to hold the program. For more information
