Get a bottle that allows spray adjustment and is marked for easy measurements.

Label the bottle with the herbicide it will contain. Never re-use the bottle for anything other than what it has been labeled for.

Use proper safety equipment, such as rubber gloves, and protective eyewear. Shorts, sandals, and other clothing which leaves skin exposed is not appropriate for herbicide mixing or application.

Fill the bottle half-way with water before adding chemical so it will mix correctly.

Measure and add the chemical for the rate recommended by the manufacturer. Add the remaining amount of necessary water to complete the mix.
