National Western Stock Show School Visits

The National Western Stock Show, Horse Show and Rodeo is a non-profit organization. The commitment of the association is to education—for youth in agriculture, for the urban community and for the national and international livestock industry. The National Western fulfills that commitment in many ways including it’s free School Visits Program.

Adams County 4-H program is assisting the National Western Stock Show Association by scheduling FREE school visits. School Visits are available from January 11-15 and January 19-22, 2016.

Pre-visits are back! This year, we will be offering pre-visits to schools as part of our National Western Stock Show tours. During these visits, a county agent and a National Western volunteer will come into the classroom to talk about what will happen at the Stock Show, what students and teachers can expect on their visit, and a fun presentation for students about different aspects of the Stock Show.

Pre-visits are limited, and teachers must register online by November 2nd in order to receive a pre-visit. In addition, teachers will need to fill out their Stock Show tour registration at the same time they sign up for a pre-visit.

Schools grades PreK-6 that register through Adams County 4-H for School Visits, will NOT be charged for grounds admission.  You will not be admitted unless you have your tickets. Just check in through our volunteers at the east end of the Events Center and be on your way. Please Note - If you do not register through the website no discount will be offered - general admission rates will apply.   Also, those schools that arrive on the wrong day will have to pay the general admission fees, so if you need to change a date please contact us at right away to reschedule.
