Bluevelvet Honeysuckle (Lonicera korolkowii)          

Bluevelvet Honeysuckle (Lonicera korolkowii)  (214607 bytes)    Hardy to zone 3 and 9000', Blueleaf Honeysuckle is a deciduous shrub with arching branches. It prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade. Soil should be sandy or clay loam. Blueleaf has dry to moderate water needs and is drought tolerant once established. A truely Aphid resistant variety that grows to a height of 12ft. and a width of 8ft.

Bluevelvet Honeysuckle blooms (60396 bytes) The opalescent pink flowers are showy in the spring.
honeysuckle, blue leaf berries (6711 bytes) Song birds feed on the bright red berries in mid-to-late summer.
