Colorado Master Gardeners Offer Spring Garden Classes |
The Colorado State University Extension office in Harvard Gulch Park announces Saturday spring garden classes to help you plan your garden project. Taught by community Colorado Master Gardener volunteers trained through their program, registration is now open for the following classes:
- April 12 – Drip Irrigation for the home gardener – Learn how to add a drip system to your hose faucet or in-ground sprinklers. This hands-on workshop will show you how simple it can be. – Carl Wilson
- April 19 – Water-wise perennials and Plant Select® plants - Discover how low water use and low care perennials can be high color and high design style. Learn some of the best for our area and how to use them. - Connie Rayor
- April 26 – Versatile herbs – Herbs used in landscapes or pots are both beautiful as well as practical. Find out how to grow and use them best. - Judy Vanderbosch
- May 3 – Container vegetables and flowers – Small growing spaces can be filled with high impact flower color and tasty harvests of vegetables. Discover how to add beautiful container displays to even the smallest of balconies and other outdoor living spaces. - Kevin Ritter
All two hour classes start at 9:30 am and are held at the CSU Denver Extension office, 888 E. Iliff Avenue (at Emerson). Classes include plant demonstrations or tours of the office water-wise demonstration garden. Registration is $20 per class and can be made by phoning 720-913-5273 or stopping by the office.
