About Face

line4.gif (1411 bytes)

About Face is an unusual Grandiflora which features a backward bicolour form. Normally in any bicolour, the lighter colour is displayed on the back of the petal. With this 2005 winner, we have a light shade of deep gold on the inside of the petal with a much darker bronzy orange-red backside. About face is super vigorous and produces long stems with full blossoms that catch the gardeners eye throughout the life of the bloom. With flowers up to 5 inches in diameter, this rose produces a mild apple fragrance and is complemented by lush green leaves.
It has 5" blooms with 26-40 petals, reaches a height of up to 6 feet; large, dark green semi glossy foliage, a mild fresh apple fragrance, is hardy in zones 5-9 and prefers full sun.
