Points and segments allow users to customize the types of features to be marked in a MicroMeasure project. The Define New Type... command is used to create custom definitions for point and segment types.

Defining Points and Segments

To define a new point type, select the Point type tab and enter a brief descriptive name for this point type.		To define a new segment type, select the Segment type tab, enter a name, and select a custom marking color, if desired, by selecting the appropriate option.

Once a point or segment type has been defined, it will appear on the Points menu (left). Up to 9 custom point and/or segment types may be used with each project. Points and segments are also accessible from the right-click context menu, or by using the function keys (F1 - F9).
