Captain Andrew Pipes is currently assigned as Recruiting Flight Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 90, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies teaching AS101 to Colorado State Cadets. Previously he was assigned to the 6th Logistics Squadron, MacDill AFB, FL where he split time as Assistant Installation Deployment Officer where he led a 14 member IDRC in support of the 6th AMW, USSOCOM, & USCENTCOM. He managed over $7 Million in WRM assets and ensured the readiness of 700 UTCs for 2,300 personnel and 472 short tons of cargo. And as Materiel Management Flight Commander where he led a 53 member flight coordinating support for KC-135 A/C while maintaining 5 MRSP segments and over 13,000 line items worth over $32.5 Million; along with 6 AMW’s mobility bags, individual body armor, weapons, and supporting equipment accounts valuing $87.1 Million.
Captain Pipes earned his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 2009.
