AIR FORCE ROTC DETACTMENT 90

Major Burton is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and the Education Flight Commander for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 90 at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado.  He is responsible for the education and training of AS 100 cadets attending Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado.

Major Burton’s previous assignment was the Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) to the Commander, 75th Security Forces Squadron, Hill Air Force Base, Utah.  As the reserve backfill for the unit, he was responsible for directing force protection, security, law enforcement, drug suppression/emergency response for AF's third largest base and providing physical security, law enforcement, and combat arms training for units spanning 6 wings & 7 major commands. 

Major Burton earned his commission from the US Air Force Academy in 1999.
