The Department of Journalism and Technical Communication was established in 1968 and operates one of the largest undergraduate programs in the College of Liberal Arts.
Our AEJMC-accredited program serves more than 500 undergraduates and provides outstanding instruction from both respected faculty members who hold prestigious academic degrees and years of professional experience as well as working professions with special appointments as course instructors.
A Bachelor of Arts in Technical Journalism prepares students for careers in newspapers, magazines, broadcast and electronic reporting, public relations and technical/specialized journalism, and computer-mediated communication.
