Mountain Mahogany is a deciduous shrub in the
rose family, growing to 10' x 6', and native to most of western America. It is a hardy
shrub requiring full sun and little water.

Leaves are small, dark green and are held until late in the fall. | |

Blossoms are tiny, showy yellow trumpet flowers that are sweetly fragrant. | |
 |
Seeds have feathery tails that carry them on the winds in late fall. | |
 |
Bark is light grey. |
