The Cultural Anthropology faculty at Colorado State is energetic, talented and committed to active research and excellent teaching.
The six cultural anthropologists at CSU offer students concentrated expertise in the study of modernity, economic development, and political economy. The research programs of our cultural faculty are clustered in postcolonial societies of the Americas --including Native North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean--as well as those of East Africa and India.
With a clear research focus on the conditions of modernity, our cultural faculty offers a coherent and high-impact course of study for both undergraduate and graduate students Other related areas of specialization include human ecology, religion, gender, and expressive culture. Cultural faculty members are Browne, Galvin, Kwiatkowski, Pickering, Snodgrass, and Valdez.
