Michael
A. Bailey Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2002, this scholarship honors Michael Bailey, a former
student in the Department of Art. The scholarship is made possible
by contributions of friends and family.
Criteria: Applicant must be a full-time junior
majoring in painting with a 3.0 GPA. The scholarship is for the
senior year. Finalists will be asked to submit a portfolio.

Bob
Coonts Graphic Design
Established in 1994, this scholarship honors former art student
and professional artist, Bob Coonts. The award is made possible
by contributions from friends, students, and the family of Bob Coonts.
Criteria: All senior-level graphic design students
automatically are considered. Finalists will be asked to submit
five graphic design projects for committee review.

Creative
and Performing Arts Award
These awards are distributed among students studying art, creative
writing, forensics, music, theatre, and dance.
Criteria: Applicant must demonstrate outstanding
talent in art, creative writing, forensics, music, theatre, or dance
and must maintain a 2.4 GPA.

Anna
Lawton Creger Printmaking Scholarship
Established in 1994, this scholarship honors Art graduate, Anna
Lawton Creger, and is made possible by contributions from Mr. and
Mrs. John Lawton, Anna’s parents.
Criteria: All junior- or senior-level printmaking
concentration students automatically are considered. Selection is
based upon demonstrated
creativity and promise in printmaking.

Jack
Curfman Creative and Visual Design Scholarship
This scholarship was created to honor Jack Curfman, internationally
recognized exhibition designer and CSU alumnus, who taught in the
Colleges of Liberal Arts and Applied Human Sciences for 50 years.
Criteria: Applicant must be a sophomore, junior,
senior, or graduate student majoring in apparel design, interior
design, graphic design, or theatre design and technology who shows
creative promise and maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Paul Hudson Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is in memory of Paul Hudson and is made possible by his friends and family.
Criteria: Recipient must be a junior or senior majoring in art with demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to graduates of Golden High School. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Kennedy Center Art Scholarship*
Established in 1984 by the Kennedy Center Venture, this scholarship is for the benefit of a graduate student in the Art Department.
Criteria: Recipient must be a graduate student majoring in art who is enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours both fall and spring semester. Student must have demonstrated financial need, academic scholarship and submit 10 slides or 6 original works to scholarship committee for review, or theatre design and technology who shows creative promise. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Vincent A. LaPerriere Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is in memory of Vincent A. LaPerriere and is made possible by his friends and family.
Criteria: Recipient must be a junior majoring in art with a painting emphasis that is enrolled full-time. Recipient must be a Colorado resident with demonstrated innovation in concept or method who also clearly exhibits a strong degree of commitment in the visual arts. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Katherine Moffitt-Northern Colorado Artist Association Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship was established in 1998 by the Northern Colorado Artist Association.
Criteria: Recipient must be a junior or first semester senior majoring in art. Recipient must submit a 100-200 word statement of artistic goals as well as a portfolio of six to ten pieces of their work.

Evalyn
Prouty Hickman Pi Beta Phi Scholarship
Established in 1998 by the Fort Collins Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club,
this scholarship memorializes their alumna, Evie Hickman, Emeritus
Art Professor at CSU. Funding is made possible by donations from
family and friends.
Criteria: Applicant must be a full-time junior
Art major with a 3.0 GPA in Art and a 2.5 GPA in non-Art subjects.
The scholarship is for the senior year. Financial need may be considered
but is not essential. Finalist may be asked to submit a portfolio
or, if the major is Art History, research papers.

Paul
A. Hudson Art Scholarship
Established in 2001, this scholarship celebrates the life of former
Art Student Paul Hudson, who was dedicated to the visual arts and
to the well-being of others.
Criteria: Applicant must
be a junior or senior Art Major with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher,
who demonstrates financial need and exhibits a strong commitment
to art and her/his community.

Interweave
Press Scholarship in Fibers
Established by Interweave Press, this scholarship reconizes students
who are commited to contributing to and promoting the fibers craft.
Criteria: Applicant must
be an Art Major with a fibers concentration and an overall G.P.A.
of 3.5 or higher.

Richards Metz Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1997, this scholarship honors the memory of talented
designer and Art Department teacher, Melanie Richards Metz.
Criteria: Applicant must be a major in the Department

demonstrated creativity and originality, energy, love of graphic design, motivation,
and a desire to excel and learn in their chosen field of study.

Families Scholarship
Established through the Page Jones Richards Foundation by Michael
Palmquist and Jessica Richards-Palmquist, this scholarship supports
students who express themselves through the creative and performing
arts and who share a commitment to service and scholarship.
Criteria: Applicant must be a major in the Department
of Art, Music, Theatre, and Dance, or English (with a writing or creative writing
concentration), maintain a 3.5 GPA, demonstrate academic excellence
as expressed through faculty support and a focus on service through
academic pursuits, and demonstrate financial need..
